March Update

As spring begins to slowly emerge, we're reminded of the quiet power of renewal. Longer days, budding trees, and the promise of new life. This spirit of hope fuels our work as we walk alongside individuals and communities affected by HIV and AIDS on their journey towards health, dignity, and wholeness. Thank you for your continued support.

April 11 Spring is a Time for H.O.P.E.

Join us at the University of Denver for our annual brunch supporting 330 children orphaned by AIDS in Meru, Kenya.

Last year's brunch sold-out, so get your tickets or secure a sponsorship in advance! Our keynote speaker is Ashirafu Tuyishime, a remarkable young leader from Rwanda who was orphaned by AIDS as a child and is now pursuing his studies in the United States. His story is one of resilience, perseverance, and hope — a powerful testament to the impact of opportunity and support.

Period Poverty Projects

In January, members of our team traveled to India and had the privilege of participating in a health education seminar focused on menstrual health and dignity for adolescent girls.

These sessions go far beyond basic information — they create safe spaces where young women can ask questions, build confidence, and gain essential life skills. Through this initiative, the Center is providing 500 girls in Kolkata with quarterly menstrual health training and access to disposable pads throughout the year. This work ensures that girls have both the knowledge and the resources they need to stay healthy and remain in school.

Our commitment extends to similar programs in Meru and Maua, Kenya, where girls receive menstrual products alongside education that promotes self-esteem, health awareness, and economic resilience. Because of your generosity, more than 1,000 girls are receiving reliable access to menstrual products and life-skills education — support that prevents missed school days, protects future opportunities, and affirms the dignity of young women.

March 8 Red Concert

It's not too late to join the Center for Health and Hope as a patron or sponsor of this year's annual Red Concert in Tucson! We join our friends at the Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network to raise vital funds for both organizations.

Post-Secondary Scholarships

We asked and you answered! Thanks to the support of multiple donors, funding for seven computers was secured in February and the laptops have been dispersed.

Access to reliable technology is not a luxury — it is essential for academic success in today’s world. As spring approaches, the Center begins reviewing applications for the next class of scholars who will begin their studies in the fall of 2026. Each application represents a story of resilience, determination, and hope for a brighter future.

In 2025 alone, the Center awarded scholarships to eight students pursuing studies that ranged from nursing and clinical medicine, to hospitality and education. These young leaders are preparing for careers that will strengthen their families and uplift their communities.

Your support does more than fund tuition — it opens doors to opportunity, stability, and long-term impact. Consider sponsoring a student today and investing in the next generation of change-makers.
