Streaming live from the famous La Scala Theatre in Milan, Italy, join CMAP for a special presentation of L'opera seria (The Serious Work). This satirical work provides a compelling window into the theatrical milieu that fostered the Gluckian reform, with librettist Calzabigi himself a central figure. Witness the sharp wit and social commentary that characterized this pivotal period in operatic history.

Runtime: Approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes including intervals. English subtitles will be available.

This unique group exercise program is specially designed to boost cognitive skills and enhance physical function through body-brain exercises. Ageless Grace is backed by research in neuroplasticity — the brain’s remarkable ability to reshape and adapt through new experiences. In this session, you’ll engage in twenty-one fun and effective movements (known as “tools”) performed while comfortably seated. MUSICAL HEIRS TO A GENIUS: THE SONS OF BACH (Zoom)

Johann Sebastian Bach’s legacy lived on through his four composer sons, who carried his influence into the future, shaping the transition from the Baroque to the Classical Era. Dr. Brenda Leonard explores the lives and music of Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach, and Johann Christian Bach. Each developed a distinct style, leaving a lasting impact on the musical world and inspiring composers like Mozart and Beethoven.

PINGPONGPARKINSON (In-person at SPB Location)

Wednesdays in April, 3:00–4:30 p.m.

We’re on a mission to promote healthy aging for Parkinson’s patients by creating a supportive and engaging community. Ping pong provides physical exercise, one of the most effective ways to improve Parkinson’s symptoms. Our sessions begin with engaging conversation, followed by body warm-up, skill-building drills, gameplay, and end with coordination exercises, song, and laughter.
