As a state administering agency (SAA) or statistical analysis center (SAC), are you looking for avenues to expand your capacity for data access or analysis? Do you need help telling the story of your criminal justice data? If this describes you, we encourage you to consider joining our partnership with Justice Counts, co-led by the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center and the Bureau of Justice Assistance. Justice Counts is a national initiative dedicated to ensuring criminal justice data can be easily shared and used by policymakers and agency leaders. Justice Counts is founded on the belief that it should be easy for agencies to share key information about their criminal justice efforts and achievements and easy for decision-makers to advance public safety and fairness with their data.
Justice Counts is directed by a national steering committee, supported by 19 national partner organizations, including NCJA, and designed to provide simple, feasible, and effective metrics that help agencies break down and highlight their work. The Justice Counts team works directly with criminal justice professionals to ensure that the design of every element, from metrics and publishing platforms to data visualizations and tools, meets the needs of the field. For more than three years, Justice Counts has provided tools, resources and support to criminal justice agencies to make their data journey effortless, straightforward and impactful.
With one simple opt-in, your agency can join today. After opting in, a member of the Justice Counts team will schedule an initial session to learn more about the needs and goals of your agency.
