Here We Go!
Only one more sleep til the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
DAY 1: What To Expect
In case you missed it, our first day of school is WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15. The schedule is unlike any other day of the year, so here's what your student can expect:
  • As always, school begins at 8:00 a.m. Drop off and pick up are in the circle lot. Students can be dropped off any time after 7:00 a.m.
  • It’s a half day with early dismissal following our 11:20 a.m. all-school Mass in our auditorium celebrating the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. You are welcome to join us for Mass. We anticipate that Mass will conclude around 12:20.
  • Lunch will not be served on this day.
  • Students will not follow their schedules, they will pretty much travel with their classes.
  • We’ll get all devices connected to the Central Catholic Wi-Fi network, so make sure your student brings the device he or she plans to use this year.
  • It’s picture day. Central Catholic has partnered with YNI Sports to capture portraits the first few days of school. Download the picture order form for students to turn in when their picture is taken.
  • Freshman, Sophomore and Junior students wear school dress code attireThe dress code does not just apply to clothing. All students must be compliant with hair, facial hair and appearance or will be required to come in at a later date for a retake.
  • ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS: Per tradition, the school requests Senior Boys wear dress code pants with a white button up collared shirt (we will provide a Central Catholic monogrammed tie to wear with the shirt). The Senior Girls should arrive in uniform and will be provided a top.
Wow, We Have Some Great Volunteer Opportunities!

School Supplies
Here is a list of school supplies by class. In addition to this list, plan on spiral notebooks and pocket folders for each class and pens/pencils/highlighters for writing. If you do not see a certain class listed, that means your student will receive info on the first day of class. This is a Google Doc and may be updated again before the school year begins so be sure to check back occasionally.
Parents Night Wednesday, August 22
Freshmen, new students, parents of freshmen, and parents of new students make it a point to come to our  New Student and Parent Orientation  on SUNDAY, August 12 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. This is an informative  introduction to life at Central Catholic. Our Student Ambassadors will help students with locker, computer, and schedule questions and much more. Parents will learn about academic, social, and spiritual expectations from Mr. Foster and have an opportunity for questions and answers.
Parent FAQs
New parents and even returning parents have several questions this time of the year. Here is a  Parent FAQ sheet  to hopefully answer many of your questions. For additional questions, you know where to find me (309-533-2200!).
