Since our last newsletter, two of our students have lost immediate family members. Please take time to pray for junior Griffin Buettner whose mother passed away
and sophomore Kolby Weiss whose sister passed away. We join our prayers
for comfort and peace with yours for these students and their families.
Homecoming Court
Congratulations to our 2018 Homecoming Court! Left to right is Morgan Koch, Joey Harris, Kennedy Snyder, Christopher Russell, Meghan Sheehan, Tommy Nelson, Abbey Lewis, Jaron Means, Renata Lee, Tommy Killian, Christy Deneen and Tom Costigan. The King and Queen will be announced at halftime of our Homecoming Game on Friday, October 5.
Speaking of Homecoming: Dance Tickets On Sale NOW
The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 6 and tickets are available in Mr. Fabrizio's classroom before school, during homeroom and after school through Wednesday, October 3. Tickets cannot be purchased at the door.  If students are bringing someone from another school, they must get a form from Mr. Fabrizio, fill it out ahead of time and turn it in to him when they purchase their tickets.
PLEASE NOTE: We don’t want to send anyone home from the dance, so make sure you check out Central Catholic’s  Dress Code  ahead of time.

Homecoming Week Schedule

Freshmen Day of Recollection WEDNESDAY
Please keep our Freshman in your prayers on WEDNESDAY, September 26. They are going on a Day of Recollection at St. Patrick's Church of Merna. Freshman parents were sent an e-mail earlier today with more information. Freshmen should either be dropped off directly at St. Patrick's by 9:00 a.m. or dropped off at Central Catholic by 8:00 a.m. and be bused to the church. The day will end at 2:00 pm. and students can be picked up at that time from St. Patrick's, or we can bus them back to the school where they will have normal pick-up. Dress code for the retreat is Jeans Day bottoms with Central Catholic spirit tops.
Sign Your Student Up For A Heart Check October 11
In an effort to reduce sudden cardiac death in young adults in our community, Young Hearts for Life is providing free ECG screenings for Central Catholic High School students on Thursday, October 11. Please read this  letter to parents register your student here (the "Student ID" is your student's birthdate)  and fill out   this form from our Diocese  to participate in the free screening.
Volunteers Needed : We need parent and community volunteers to make this possible. Volunteers must be 18 or older and are required to attend a 90-minute training session on Wednesday, October 10, at either 5:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. at the school. No medical background is necessary. You can  sign up online   and an email confirming your spot will be sent.
Talent Show Signup By WEDNESDAY
Does your student have a special talent to share in front of the friendliest audience they'll ever encounter? Well, then, encourage that student to sign up for our October 10 Talent Show! Sign up is available through WEDNESDAY, September 26 outside the Choir Room.

Dust Off Those Instruments!
Welcome home, Music Saints! All band alumni are cordially invited to play with the Central Catholic Pep Band at the Homecoming game on Friday, October 5. If you are interested in playing, please e-mail Melissa Jorstad. Music, instruments (if needed, based upon availability), and more information will be forthcoming. Come join us for a great evening!
