It's Catholic Schools Week!
Thursday is our dress down day, remind your student to wear the colors of his or her Olympic Country. All other days (including Friday's Mass) are uniform days. Here is a day-by-day rundown of our events:

Olympics Day (students dress in their country color and compete throughout the day)
All-School Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church of Merna (Students must check in with their 1st hour teacher in the church entrance prior to Mass. They are dismissed for the day directly from the church following Mass.)

Invest In Kids Scholarship Applications Open WEDNESDAY
The first day to apply for the State of Illinois' Invest In Kids Act is WEDNESDAY, January 31. If you are interested in financial assistance, please check out this document and, if you qualify, be sure to apply as early as possible.
Invest In Kids Needs Your Help TODAY
The Invest In Kids Act helps to cushion the impact of tuition for those most in need of assistance. TUESDAY, January 30 th  the Illinois Senate Education Committee is having a hearing on  Senate Bill SB2236   - a bill that would stop this scholarship program from operating in any year that the minimum public school funding level is not met. Please voice your opposition to SB2236; click here to learn how you can make your voice heard.

We are happy to welcome nearly 90 eighth grade students to our school tomorrow morning for Great To Be A Saint Day. They'll meet students and teachers and get their first taste of life as a high school student.
Our Junior Class will have their Day of Recollection tomorrow. They need to be here by 8:30 a.m. and we hope to be back by 2:45 p.m. but might be closer to 3:00. Lunch is provided by the school and will be charged to their hot lunch account. Please keep them in your prayers.
Seniors have an Open Lunch tomorrow. Freshmen and Sophomores will be in the cafeteria as usual.
Spaghetti Dinner and Pack The Place FRIDAY
Don't miss our annual Spaghetti Dinner served from 4:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. on FRIDAY, February 2. It's also Pack the Place Boys' Basketball Game as we close out Catholic Schools Week playing the High School of St. Thomas More.

Cheer Camp Registration Underway
Our Cheer Camp is Saturday, February 10 from 9:00 a.m. - noon and registration is underway. Register by FRIDAY to guarantee a t-shirt. Here is the registration form.
Showcase Central Is February 8
Help us invite all 7th and 8th grade students and parents to explore the only Bloomington-Normal high school to ever receive the US Government’s highest academic achievement. As you may have heard, we are a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School. Showcase Central is Wednesday, February and is a great opportunity to meet our teachers, administration and coaches. Doors open at 5:30 and the tour begins at 6:00.
We have several opportunities coming up for 7th and 8th grade students and families to visit Central Catholic. Please share this Schedule of Events along with our Parent Open House dates.
