Octagon listing the eight dimensions of wellness: emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social and spiritual

Healthy Habits 2023 is Live!

This year's Healthy Habits program officially launched on March 27, 2023. We have made some changes to the program because we know wellness is not one-size-fits-all. To qualify for the incentive, complete one activity in each dimension of wellness: emotional, spiritual, social, physical, environmental, intellectual, financial, and occupational. Submit your eForm online by 5:00 p.m., November 8, 2023.

Visit the new Healthy Habits page for more information (and watch the informational video for a quick program overview).

Paid Family Medical Leave (P.F.M.L.) Notification

As part of our ongoing efforts to support employees, we’ve created a standardized email template to help simplify the process of providing notification about your P.F.M.L. This template can be found on the P.F.M.L. SharePoint Page under Email Templates. Here are some important reminders to keep in mind when using this template:

  • Providing notice is required to initiate the PFML process and avoid delayed claims.
  • Notice needs to be sent at least 30 days in advance, unless not foreseeable.
  • Remember to send notice to both your supervisor and your departments HR Leave Liaisons.
  • Notice should not include details about why you are taking Paid Family Medical Leave.

We hope that this template helps make the process smoother and less stressful. If you have any questions or concerns about the process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your HR Leave Liaison or Central Human Resources (SHR-Leave&[email protected]).

Resources for Recovery

A road sign labeled Recovery

April is National Alcohol Awareness Month and we want to take this opportunity to remind our employees that options are available for those dealing with alcohol addiction, or who have family members with an addiction. One such option is the Family and Medical Leave Act (F.M.L.A.), which provides eligible employees with up to 12 weeks of job-protected leave to receive treatment for a serious health condition, including alcoholism. This means you can take the time you need to focus on recovery.

If you or a family member is struggling with alcohol addiction, please remember that you are not alone. The first step is to reach out to your HR Leave Liaison or Central Human Resources (SHR-Leave&[email protected]) to learn more about your rights and the process for requesting leave. You can also check out our F.M.L.A. SharePoint page for additional information.
