Student Grades
Please check your student's grades for seated courses in eSchool. We will continue to post student grades in eSchool. Please check your student's grades online, and communicate with your student's teachers. Our goal is that all students are academically successful, please encourage your student to submit all assignments.
If your student is taking a LAUNCH course or is fully virtual, their grades will be kept updated in Canvas.
eSchool is the official gradebook for SPS. eSchool is where you can view your students' grades (completed assignments). If your child's teacher has not updated grades, please contact your child's teacher.
Canvas is the place in our district where teachers and the curriculum department put digital learning materials. By logging in with your parent Home Access Center account, you can view teacher content as well as electronic text books. Please note that the gradebook in Canvas is not the official gradebook for your child.

Grades & D/F Phone Calls
Grades in eSchool are the official grades for seated students. CHS will send bi-weekly phone messages to the homes of students who have a D or F in any of their classes. If you have not accessed your username for eSchool or Canvas, please do so. If you receive the phone call please check eSchool to see what class(es) your student has the D/F. We also recommend you contact the teacher with questions, concerns, or you feel an error has been made.
For clarification, the report used to determine who receives these calls runs at 4:30 a.m. the day you receive the call. It is possible teachers update grades during the course of the day. Again, please check eSchool on a regular basis and direct questions to the teacher(s).

International Baccalaureate (IB)
Did you know that EVERY 9th and 10th grade student is an IB Bulldog at Central High School? All 9th and 10th graders are part of the IB Middle Years Program (MYP), which helps prepare students for future learning in 11th and 12th grades, but also to be better citizens of the world. We take P.R.I.D.E. in our inquiry based learning, our pursuit of critical thinking, and our approach to learning through an international mindset. We are excited for the year ahead, and want to challenge any of those students who might not see themselves as “IB material” to be risk-takers, and think about taking an IB course in their junior and senior years, or even try on the Diploma or Career Programs!
What MYP offers students?
The MYP aims to develop active learners and internationally minded young people who can empathize with others and pursue lives of purpose and meaning.
The programme empowers students to inquire into a wide range of issues and ideas of significance locally, nationally and globally. The result is young people who are creative, critical and reflective thinkers.
Please view our the IB learner profiles and visit the IB website below:

PTSA Message
As our 2022-2023 school year starts, the Central High School PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) wants to reach out to our whole BULLDOG community (students, teachers, staff, administrators, alumni, parents and guardians) and encourage you to join our CHS PTSA again or for the first time. There is always strength in numbers and the more memberships (individual and business) we have, the better we can accomplish our goals of serving the entire school on multiple levels.
Join us for the first PTSA meeting of the year on August 29, 2022 from 6-7pm at Central in Conference Room 124. Come hear from the administration and learn about what is going on at Central. Look for a letter from PTSA about our annual fundraiser to come out shortly.
Please use the social media icons below for more information or find information at Central's website under Parents/Guardians. Most importantly, please join our CHS PTSA this school year!
