Grant Application Now Open!

The Local Development Council (LDC) was established to advise the Anne Arundel County Executive on the needs and priorities of the communities surrounding Live! Casino and the expenditure of video lottery terminal funds.

Anne Arundel County receives 4.51% of total revenues generated by video lottery terminals at Live! Casino. This funding is distributed in the form of local impact grants and must be used for improvements primarily in the communities in immediate proximity to the casino.

Last year, the County and Live! Casino awarded $18.5 million in local impact grants for fiscal 2018 to various grant recipients as recommended by the LDC, of which $370,000 went to community support grants.

If you are within the LDC limits, we encourage you to apply! Applications can be downloaded at www.aacounty.org/LDC . All applications must be received by close of business on January 26th, 2018.

Blockchain is the technology at the heart of Bitcoin and promises to revolutionize many of the services we take for granted. Much has been said and written but so our focus will be on practical applications of blockchain currently in use. Companies have been founded to do all of the following with Blockchain:

- Handle real estate transactions
- Track and sell electricity
- Manage and track identity
- Create trading markets for agricultural products
- And much more .. .

Inclement Weather Policy

Because the Central Maryland Chamber serves members in several counties, the following inclement weather policy has been established:

If any one of the three county school systems (Anne Arundel, Howard, Prince George’s) closes due to inclement weather, all chamber activities for the day will be cancelled.

If any one of the three county school systems has a 2 hour delay, all chamber activities prior to noon will be cancelled.

If any one of the three county school systems closes early due to weather, all chamber evening activities will be cancelled.
