This month we have Allen Bock Retaining Walls. The Allan Block Best Practice presentation is intended to communicate the best practices for design of Segmental Retaining Walls (SRW) as determined by Allan Block Corporation based on 25 plus years of research, design and field experience. As part of the presentation, twelve different design topics will be introduced that will cover topics from initial design considerations to how the top of the wall will be finished. Each topic is discussed by examining specific details and expanded information presented for each. Sandwich and chips will be provided by the speaker. Tanner Weston has been with Oregon Block and Paver full time since
graduating Crook County High School in 2011. He started in the manufacturing
and production side learning all of the Allan Block Products and learned the
challenges and rewards of manufacturing the products.
In 2014 he was offered a sales and training position in the company and
moved to Portland, Oregon to head up the Willamette Valley Sales. Before
moving to the new position, he attended multiple trainings at Allan Block
Corporate in Minneapolis, Minnesota. These trainings included learning about the
technical and engineering aspect of the Allan Block product line as well many
hands-on experiences with installing and marketing the products. He became an
IACET accredited trainer in late 2014, but before he could offer CEU’s the
engineers at Allan Block had to shadow Tanner giving presentations in front of
engineers and inspectors.
Tracy Weston of Oregon Block along with her professional team from Allen Block will lead this presentation. Tracy has played a supporting role in the background for 20+ years before coming on board full-time in July 2020 to help grow the family business. Her additional Roles include Quality Control, Central Oregon Sales, Organization Specialist, Safety Manager, Advertising, Lunch Lady
