To Do: Signups & Registrations

Register on Membership Toolkit and pay your PTA and iGNITE Enrichment fees

Confused by the PTA fees? You’re not alone! Here’s the simple version:

This is a combined annual fee that supports two important things at Central:

iGNITE Enrichment

Funds the field trips, in-school programs, speakers, performances, science, art, author visits, and other enrichment experiences our students receive throughout the year. iGNITE is 100% funded by these family contributions.

PTA Programs

Supports the PTA programs and services that benefit our Central community, including classroom support, student programs, the school directory, yearbook, and more.

Membership Toolkit is just the web platform we use to collect the fee and manage PTA-related activities. You don't need to volunteer or attend meetings to benefit from what your payment supports. You're helping fund great experiences for your child - and Membership Toolkit is simply where you pay.

September & October Happenings

September 11th: Popsicle Friday from Central Kids Care (CKC)

Join us on the playground after dismissal on Friday, September 11th, to enjoy a popsicle and support a great cause. CKC will be selling popsicles for $1, with all proceeds benefiting the Colette Louise Tisdahl Foundation. This charity's mission is to improve outcomes of pregnancy, childbirth, prematurity, and infancy, as well as aid grieving families through financial assistance, education, and advocacy.

CKC is looking for families or student groups (up to six people) to volunteer to run the popsicle stand on October 2nd to raise money for a local charity of their choice. If you are interested, please submit this form and email Emily Buerger with any questions.

October 3rd: Central Carnival - Early Bird Tickets Available

Early bird discounts are available on Membership Toolkit for Central's Carnival! We need your help to make the Carnival a success! Tween/teen and adult volunteers are needed to help supervise games, food, and more. Cakes or other tasty treats are also needed for the very popular Cake Walk.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Garden

We're still in need of several volunteers in the garden. Please consider taking the time this fall!

Each week, kids can enjoy digging, watering, coloring, a scavenger hunt, and sidewalk chalk in the garden during recess. When the Contemporary Farmer visits, students will harvest summer produce, create bouquets from garden flowers, and transplant seedlings.

Garden volunteers help supervise students in the garden during recess to keep activities safe and organized.

Garden volunteering begins Wednesday, September 9. Volunteers should be available from 11:20 a.m.–12:30 p.m. during 1st–4th grade recess. We’ll also plan a kindergarten garden day later this fall.

Learning Commons

undefined

Our school librarians need your help! Please consider signing up to help out in the Learning Commons this year.

Central Library is in need of parent or grandparent volunteers to help shelve returned books everyday (Monday-Friday) between 8:30 am and 9:30 am. There are two volunteer opportunities available each day and you can sign up for multiple days.

NEW THIS YEAR: Any time spent shelving books within this hour is INCREDIBLY helpful! Have other drop offs after Central? Can't be there at 8:30? No problem - just come after! Even 20-30 minutes of shelving makes a big difference!

Please check in at the office first; you will need to provide a driver's license in order to enter the building.

Thank you for your support!

Cafeteria Lunchroom

Lunch duty volunteers stand behind the lunch counter and serve food to students who are buying lunch that day. Volunteers will be provided with an apron, plastic gloves, and a hairnet.

We ask that each family only sign for a maximum of two spots at this time to allow all families a chance to volunteer at lunch. More sign up days will become available soon.
