What is CVCOA'S
Memorable Times Café?

Memorable Times Cafe, modeled after the international Memory Café movement, provides an inviting and relaxed atmosphere with opportunities for structured activities and participatory arts for those with memory loss.

Central Vermont Council on Aging’s Memorable Times Café is a relaxed social time for people living with mild to moderate memory loss and their care partners. A dementia-friendly community event, it is free and open to the public. Central Vermont Council on Aging partnered with the ABLE Library of the Vermont Department of Libraries to hold our Cafés on the third Wednesday of each month, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, in the Community Room at the Vermont History Center, 60 Washington Street, in Barre.
Participants enjoy social time and refreshments, as well as opportunities to share stories, music, movement and laughter. ABLE Library staff are available to facilitate access to "talking books" and other resources.

For more information, please contact CVCOA's Family Caregiver Support Program Director, Barb Asen at 476-2681 or email Barb at basen@cvcoa.org.
