May 4, 2018 Fundraiser

Central Vermont Council on Aging's annual fundraiser “ Age Out Loud ” will be held on Friday evening, May 4 th , at the Barre Opera House. Age Out Loud is an evening of comedic storytelling about aging and families featuring NPR award winning comedic storytellers and Moth Slam producers, Susanne Schmidt and Kevin Gallagher, with live blues/rock music by The Brevity Thing. There will be a special guest performance by a local Central Vermont story teller. 

The event also includes a silent auction and art exhibit of works by older central Vermont artists throughout May. Tickets on sale at the Barre Opera House online at BOH Tickets or call the box office at 476-8188.

Call to Artists in Celebration of Older Americans Month in May

Central Vermont Council on Aging will showcase the creativity of older Vermonters through artwork and storytelling this May, as part of Older Americans Month. This exhibit complements Central Vermont Council on Aging’s “Age Out Loud” fundraiser that will be held on Friday, May 4, at 7:30 at the Barre Opera House.

Medicare Workshops
Expand to Evening Sessions

"Medicare and You", CVCOA's very popular free workshop on the ins-and-outs of Medicare, will now be offered from 5pm-7pm at the Aldrich Library in Downtown Barre one time per month. This workshop is ideal for those turning 65, or disabled adults, and caregivers.
