COVID-19 Resources

CentroNía is committed to ensuring children & families have the information and support they need as we navigate the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Please review the new resources for families below:

On January 26, from 2:30-7:30 pm, DC Health will be at CentroNía Columbia Rd. administering free COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 5-17 years old, parents and guardians of children, and CentroNía staff.

As you look for ways to stay safe and warm, don’t overlook other risks that might arise. Join us for a winter workshop and learn how to enjoy and protect yourself and your family during cold days. Via Zoom.

Clothing Drive at 1420 Columbia Rd.

CentroNía is hosting a clothing drive for families. If you have any new or gently-used items you'd like to donate to the drive, please drop them off in the Family Room 118WB up until the date of the event. If you have questions, please contact Michael Yacob.

MD: Virtual Cooking Class
Wednesday, January 19th @ 1:00pm
CentroNia's Food & Wellness Program is hosting its first annual virtual Cooking Class for Takoma Park families! Prior to the event, families will receive an informational flyer with the name of the recipe, Zoom link, and schedule. On January 18th, families will receive a bag with all the ingredients to cook for 4 people, cooking instructions, and nutrition educational facts about barley. The Zoom link can also be found here.
