Important Dates

  • March 7-10: Parent-teacher conferences for Pre-K classes in DC will take place virtually.

  • March 11: There will be NO DC Pre-K classes due to Parent-Teacher conferences. Pre-K extended care and Studio ROCKS Out-of-School-Time program will provide service.

  • March 21: All CentroNia centers are closed for staff training.
Announcements
Diaper Bank: If you are in need of diapers, please complete this form. Reminder: CentroNía will distribute diapers directly to your child's classroom. If you have questions, please email Michael Yacob at [email protected].
DC Summer Camp: The waiting list is now open for Summer Camp at CentroNia's Columbia Rd site in DC for children enrolled in kindergarten through 4th grade. Summer Camp will take place June 28 to August 18 and service hours are from 8:15am to 4:45pm. Spaces are limited so please submit applications as soon as possible and reach out to [email protected] if you have questions.
COVID-19 Guidance: CentroNia will implement new guidance from DC Health and Montgomery County Department of Health allows which fully vaccinated children to remain in the classroom after an exposure as long as they are asymptomatic. Read this important parent notice to learn more about the change and how to submit a copy of your child’s vaccination card.
Tax Preparation Clinics: CentroNía has partnered with DC Community Tax Aid to offer families, staff & the community access to bilingual free tax preparation services. Clinics are held on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and will continue through April 17.

Participation is based on income guidelines - for families with annual income less than $55,000, or individuals with annual income less than $35,000. To schedule an appointment contact 202-547-7773 or 202-830-1480.

MD and Upshur: Making Parenting Easier

Please join our Mental Health Specialist Elena Marin in the first of a two-part workshop. This first session will cover effective communication, which involves observing and responding to behavior as well as active listening. Stay tuned for part two, as well, which will cover how to create consistent and predictable structure and rules. Via Zoom.

Join us for an informative and supportive discussion where we will address common questions, concerns, and strategies for successfully transitioning your child out of diapers! Via Zoom.
In February, CentroNía Maryland and Upshur families spent some quality time bonding over our Valentine’s Day arts & crafts activity to help the children express their own artistic style and share their love for each other.
