A Celebration of Cats
We Have Loved
On October 4, Cat Care Society held a ceremony for staff and volunteers to celebrate the lives of the shelter cats we lost in the past year.  They all found their way into our hearts, and we remember them with love and affection.  Executive Director Jan Kelley read  the names of the cats, and Volunteer Coordinator Amy Martin presented the Rainbow Bridge poem which touched everyone deeply.  The group then scattered rose petals in the garden in memory of our beloved cats.

If you would like to read the Rainbow Bridge poem, please click this link:  It is a fitting tribute to the enduring love between humans and animals.
All the cats were very special, and here are pictures of several whom we cared for.

Santa Paws Festival 2019
Nov. 30 and  Dec. 1
Holiday Market Donations Needed Now

Along with the baked goods, we are seeking cat themed donations for our annual Santa Paws Festival.  Donations should be new or gently used.  Hand-crafted items with cat themes are always popular as well.  Festival goers seem to do a lot of their holiday shopping at the event, and it will be "Black Cat Weekend" at the shelter in view of Black Friday!  Please bring items to the shelter by November 8, 2019.
October Adoption Promotion
Many people think of black cats during October, but we have beautiful felines of all colors, breeds, ages, and personalities.  This might be just the time for you to adopt a caring companion.

Please visit our Facebook page for more information about our programs and events.
Visit our website to view all our cats available for adoption.
Note: our standard adoption screening process applies to this promotion.

Adoption News
We've had several special adoptions recently.  Among them are Scuttle, who was a "bandana" cat.  Those of you who have visited the shelter know that a bandana on a cat means you should take a little extra care when approaching the cat.  They can still be loving  cats to share your home, just like Scuttle.
And Grimly, one of our FIV cats, was adopted.  FIV cats can also make wonderful companions in the right home.

Santa Paws Festival 2019
Plan to attend this year's festival...November 30 and December 1.  We will have our popular holiday market, an amazing bake sale of scrumptious goodies, and Santa Claus for the children.
