Greetings!
It's hard to believe that we are into February already. I know it has been a rough month with snow, especially during Storm Orlena. That storm proved especially challenging for first responders, so we thank everyone for their patience as we did our best to move throughout the region.
I want to give a huge shout out to our staff and crews that managed to endure the weather; some even spending the night to do so. As a reminder, I'd like to ask that you please do your best to keep your sidewalks and entrances clear of snow in case we need to transport you for an emergency. Your help is greatly appreciated.
On the COVID-19 front, I had the opportunity to be a guest on the PBS39 Community Update on Coronavirus on January 25. I was joined by Dr. Joseph Yozviak, Infectious Diseases, LVHN who shared some very interesting facts about COVID-19 and the vaccine trials. You can watch it here by searching for the January 25 episode.
I'm also excited to share that we have a new EMT class that started on February 3. This is a larger class than normal with 12 people. I am very proud of our education team, all of whom are committed to training and grooming people for our industry. I wish all of the students the best of luck.
Lastly, I ask that you please follow us on social media to stay up-to-date on all that is going on here at Cetronia Ambulance Corps. We appreciate your support as always.
Stay well,
Robert F. Mateff Sr.
