February 2024 | Issue #44

Greetings!

February is all things red and romantic, and it is also American Heart Month. There is no better time to learn how to help save a life than now. #LearnCPR

Did you know that through generous donations, we have been able to purchase LUCAS Devices? This piece of equipment is a compression system that performs the same movement as our crews would while doing CPR, but with less stress on our bodies.

We have some great events coming up where you can learn this lifesaving technique. I hope to see you at one of them.

Stay well,

Robert F. Mateff Sr.

Chief Executive Officer

January 2024 Stats:

1,119 Emergency Calls

377 Non-emergency Calls

1,916 Paratransit Calls

We were happy to support the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Day on February 5 (see picture below).

American Heart Month

According to the American Heart Association, 350,000 people die from cardiac arrest in the United States every year. Big number. Bigger opportunity. With your help, we can bring that number down to zero.

Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest.

Why Is CPR Important?

Keeping the blood flow active – even partially – extends the opportunity for a successful resuscitation once trained medical staff arrive on site.

Cetronia Ambulance Corps offers CPR certification classes monthly. Save a life, become CPR certified!
