October 2024 | Issue #52

Greetings!

I hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying the vibrant fall colors and the crisp air that has moved into our area.

Each October we mail out our Annual Appeal in an effort to fundraise for new equipment, facility upgrades, education opportunities, and more. If you live within our emergency coverage territory, you should have received the piece in the mail. You can also read about Glenn's story and make a donation, here: https://www.cetronia.org/annual-appeal-2024/

National First Responders Day is on October 28th. If you see any of our crew members out and about, a simple thanks for what they do is always appreciated. Without them, the emergency response system would be very different. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication to this community.

Stay well,

Robert F. Mateff Sr.

Chief Executive Officer

Health & Wellness Expo

Join us on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our Joint Operations Facility, 4300 Broadway, Allentown, PA. The Expo is free and open to the public, with plenty of free parking available.

We’re teaming up with Turning Point of the Lehigh Valley to host a donation drive supporting their Safe House Emergency Shelter. Keep an eye out for a list of needed items as we get closer to the event.

This family-friendly expo will feature a wide range of vendors for all ages. Attendees can learn lifesaving skills like hands-only CPR and Stop-the-Bleed techniques, get blood pressure readings, and access car seat safety information. The Allentown Health Bureau will be offering flu shots from 10 a.m. to noon, along with glucose readings from HNL Lab Medicine, hearing screenings from East Stroudsburg University and tours of the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center.
