Chabot College Ribbon-Cutting for New Library

 and Learning Connection Building 

What: Chabot College is doing a ceremonial opening of its new Library and Learning Connection building with a community ribbon-cutting event. Funded by Measure A bond funds approved by voters in 2016, the 63,000-square-foot building will now stand as the tallest building on campus. The event will include an opportunity to tour the new three-story facility, which contains a library, offices, classrooms, computer labs, tutoring and study spaces. The design process for the building incorporated input from the campus community and subsequently the project received two awards for its design.


Who: This community event is hosted by Chabot College in Hayward. 

  

When: Tuesday, October 15, 2024 

4:00PM-5:30PM

(FREE parking available in employee lot A) 

  

Why: The ribbon-cutting and grand opening event is an opportunity to learn how this new space supports student learning and encourages a collaborative learning environment.
