Chabot College selected as host of Historically Black Colleges and Universities 2023 Fall Caravan stop 

(Hayward, Calif., Oct 30, 2023) - The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District will take part in the 2023 Fall California Community College Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Caravan Tour with an event on-campus at Chabot College on Wednesday, November 1 from 10:00am-1:00pm.  


"The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is proud that Chabot College was selected to host one of the HBCU Fall 2023 Caravan stops,” said Chancellor Ronald Gerhard. “Historically Black colleges and universities play an important role in providing supportive and inclusive environments that position Black students to thrive academically, socially, and professionally."  


The on-campus event will be fun and informative, with the opportunity to: 

  • Learn about the CCC to HBCU Transfer Guarantee Pathway 
  • Learn about scholarship financial aid options for CCC to HBCU transfers 
  • Meet admissions representatives from CCC to HBCU partner institutions 


Interested individuals should bring a copy of their unofficial transcripts for potential on-the-spot admissions.
