New York - May 25, 2016:
The Israel Government Tourist Office has appointed Chad Martin as the new Director of its Northeast USA region.
Martin brings a wealth of experience in promoting tourism to Israel to his new role at the Israel Government Tourist Office (IGTO), having previously worked for two major tour operators to Israel, as well as serving as the Director of Sales for North America for the Inbal Jerusalem hotel. In the latter position, Martin was the sole representative outside of Israel for the property, traveling throughout North America to build connections and community on its behalf.
As the new Director of the IGTO Northeast USA office, Martin will leverage his extensive Israel travel expertise and industry relationships to develop new strategic partnerships on behalf of the Israel tourism board.
"Chad's dedication and love for the destination will generate measurable results, in all sectors of tourism, to Israel. His energy is a wonderful addition to the team here in New York," says Uri Steinberg, Israel Tourism Commissioner for North America.
Martin was born and raised in Boardman, OH, and holds a BA in Political Science and Hebrew from
Ohio State University. Martin has worked in Israel's tourism industry for more than a decade, but says he started "selling Israel" in 1999 following his first visit to the country with a B'nai Brith Youth Organization summer program.
