PARSHAT BAMIDBAR
Rabbi Aaron Leib
There are 48 personal traits that a person must perfect in order to be ready to receive Torah (see Pirkei Avot 6:5). Some people have the custom of studying these 48 attributes during this time period leading up to Shavuot as a way of preparing for the holiday which celebrates receiving the Torah. One of these attributes is Anava—humility.

A FIELD TRIP TO SEE THE TORAH
In preparation for Shavuot, the Kittens took a field trip to the Middle School Beit Midrash to visit Rabbi Leib and to get to see the real Torah!! They had learned with Morah O so many things about the Torah - how special it is, how we don’t touch it with our hands because we have oil on our hands so we only use a yad, and each child got to find the first letter of their name in the Torah! What a special morning!! Thank you Morah O and thank you Rabbi Leib!!
