LAG B'OMER
It was a beautiful day for Lag B'Omer!! Sack races, Drip, Drip, Drop, Slip n Slide, relay races, chalk drawing….and more … make for a super fun Field Day for the elementary school! !! Thank you Coach McKenzie, Mrs. D, and all the elementary school teachers for a great day!!!!
The Middle School began with learning, then kickball, football, a huge relay race, egg toss, capture the flag, water balloons and more!!Thank you Mr. Wolowiec and the whole Middle School staff!!!

SPECIAL FRIENDS DAY
Making challah, decorating challah trays, making friendship trail mix, making bsamim holders, and of course food! But most importantly...getting to do all of these activities and spend time with our youngest students made Special Friends Day a very very special morning.
Thank you to Mrs. Berlin, Mrs. Sternberg, Morah Peggy, Morah Sarah, Morah Helene, Morah O, Morah Pia, Morah Shelly, Morah Devorah, Morah Goldie, Morah Sara, Morah Kara, Morah Aviva, Mora Rebekah, Mrs. Prawer, Morah Shira, and Mr. Doug for all of their help!!

EIMATAI AND LAG B'OMER
Lag B’Omer has also become a day associated with Chesed. Our High School students participated in the Eimatai Chesed program by volunteering at the VA, Cass Community Social Services, Eastwood Convalescent Center of the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, and Stevenson School …..Thank you Mrs. Sklar for organizing these opportunities and thank you Mrs. Klausner, Mrs. Jacobs, and Mrs. Kosowsky for chaperoning.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
It was Teacher Appreciation Week at Farber and thanks to the efforts of Linda Pedder...our staff was treated to a snack card, a salad bar, a beautiful breakfast, hot dog lunch and gift cards. We love our staff....and appreciate all that they do every day!!

POLCHEK
Though we still aren't sure what Polchek is...we know we like it!! This week's Polchek was rugalach!! The students asked for it in Hebrew and were rewarded with a sweet taste of rugalach! Thank you to Ravid and Roni, our Bnot Sherut, for this and for everything they do!!

MATH OLYMPIAD
This week the 3rd - 6th grade Math Olympiad and Math Club participants had a chance to celebrate with Dr. Levisohn!! Every student who participated received a certificate and the top scorers were recognized. The Elementary School Math Club also finished off the year with ice cream and brownies!
This year's top five scorers for the Math Olympiad (grades 3-6) were Leo Singer, Yosef Nadler, Leora Gonik, Jack Friedman and Yair Mendelson. Thank you Dr. Levisohn for working with all of these students!!! Mazal Tov!!!

5th Grade is completing an upcycle art project for Event's Day and needs help with supplies. We are looking for clean, used items that you would have otherwise recycled or thrown away. TRIP TO THE FARM
What an absolutely glorious day the ECC had for their trip to the Real Life Farm!!!! Thank you Mrs. Berlin, Ms. Sternberg, and ALL of the ECC teachers for helping to organize such a special and fun day!!

3rd GRADE TRIP TO LANSING
Our 3rd graders had a great trip to Lansing this week !! They visited the Capital and even got a shout out by Senator Jeremy Moss from the Senate floor!! They also visited the Michigan Historical Museum ! Thank you Mrs. D, Mr. McClure, and Moreh Zev for chaperoning and to the parents who drove our students!!

SR BREAKFAST
It is Graduation Season! We kicked off Graduation season with the student Senior Breakfast. The 11th graders(with help and support from class advisor Mrs. Jacobs, and staff Mr. Digadker, Ms. Gardin, Roni and Ravid ) prepared a beautiful breakfast spread, presentations by the 11th graders to the 12th graders, and the opportunity to offer congratulatory wishes on their “board” !! Mazal Tov!! Graduation is June 5th!

FARBER BASEBALL
Mazal Tov Farber Fire on winning their Season Opener 12 - 3!! Ari Schon, Benji Gardin and Micah Adler sent the ball into the outfield while Abie pitched relief for the win!
Farber defeated Warren Woods Middle School 6-4. The Fire was led by Jake Schon pitching 6 strong innings, striking out 9 batters. Ira Gardin recorded his first save! The hitting attack was led by hits from Jake Schon, Jack Friedman, and Jonah Schwartz.
