A MESSAGE FROM OUR CNT PRESIDENT

This past Sunday, Congregation Ner Tamid gathered for our Annual Community Meeting—a time to celebrate our accomplishments and look ahead to the exciting opportunities before us. Together, we discussed the progress made over the past year in Membership, Ritual, Education, and our financial health, while also sharing our vision for the year to come.

The meeting was held in a hybrid format, with many members joining us in person and others participating via Zoom. One of the most meaningful moments of the afternoon was a simple exercise: we asked attendees to share one or two words that describe why they are part of Congregation Ner Tamid.

The responses were quite impactful.

Words such as:

Peace

Belonging

Acceptance

Family

These were more than just words—they were reminders of the values that define who we are as a congregation and what makes our community so special.

As summer begins, our congregation is filled with opportunities to connect, learn, celebrate, and grow together. We have plans for adult education and social gatherings, family activities and two exciting Religious School Open Houses where new families can discover the warmth, creativity, and joy that make our educational programs so special.

As we enter the final month of the 2025–2026 fiscal year, we do so with gratitude for all that we have accomplished and with enthusiasm for everything still to come. Every program, every service, every gathering is made stronger by the people who choose to be part of this community.

We invite you to join us for Friday Night Shabbat Services, including our upcoming Dine & Discuss on June 12, and experience a moment of peace and connection at the end of a busy week. And the pleasure of the special home made challah of the week!

We encourage our men to come together for bowling later this month and our women to enjoy a craft night in July. Whether you are a longtime member or someone looking for a place to connect, we hope you will find what so many others have found here—a community where you are welcomed, accepted, and valued for exactly who you are.

We are also thrilled to celebrate the long-awaited return of NERTY, our Congregation Ner Tamid Youth Group with events this summer including a swim party and lock-in. Families will also have the chance to learn more about our vibrant Religious School, including our upcoming youth cooking series.

Congregation Ner Tamid is more than a synagogue. It is a place where friendships are formed, traditions are celebrated, children grow, and individuals and families find meaning, purpose, and belonging.

Together, we continue to build a community rooted in peace, strengthened by acceptance, and united as family.

With gratitude and continued focus on our amazing Community,

Matt Berenson
