SNAPSHOTS IN THE CNT COMMUNITY

On Friday night, we had a wonderful "Pizza in the Hut" Shabbat dinner for Sukkot, followed by services in the Sukkah!

Then on Sunday our Religious School students made Sukkahs (using pretzels, graham crackers, icing, and candy) and also made their own lulav and etrog sets using found items in nature!

Last month we featured pictures of our Religious School students helping to make a "scarecrow" to be part of the Marietta Square's Harvest Fest. Our finished scene was inspired by the movie Inside Out, and in our vignette each "scarecrow" represented a Jewish value, including (but not limited to) not embarrassing others, caring for the body, joy, protecting the environment, wisdom, remembrance. You can see our little guys in the Square through November 3 (located in the corner of the park to the right of the main stage, across from The Strand).

JEWISH FAMILY & CAREER SERVICES (JF&CS) OF ATLANTA

Community of Giving: A Virtual Gathering

Tuesday, December 23

Noon - 1 PM | Encore 8-9 PM, Virtual

Community of Giving is a fundraising event hosted virtually by Jewish Family & Career Services on Giving Tuesday. Guests can join from their own homes or attend in-person hosted watch parties.

This year, the focus of Community of Giving is Israel and the impact of October 7 on our community here in Atlanta through personal client experiences and insights from leadership. We will share stories from clients receiving mental health support, college students facing antisemitism on campus who are supported by our clinicians, and Holocaust survivors who have been retraumatized after the attack. JF&CS is the first to respond when the need for mental health arises in our community and that will be highlighted during the program.
