A Message from our CNT President

Shana Tovah!


Upon completion of our Rosh Hashanah services we now take time to reflect on the upcoming holiday services of Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur.


Our Kol Nidre service next Wednesday night once again will be an opportunity to see, hear and feel the amazing Kol Nidre song played by our cellist. The acoustics in our sanctuary are perfect for the melodies and deep sounds of the cello. This will be followed on Thursday by Yom Kippur morning services, afternoon services and eventually our break fast.


This year marks many milestone celebrations including our 20th High Holiday services led now for 10 years by Rabbi Prass!

Community Snapshots

Making challah at the YMCA!

CNT was recently invited to participate in the YMCA's cultural sharing program, and on Saturday, September 13 at the Northwest Family YMCA, CNT volunteers guided 50 YMCA families as they learned about and braided their own challah to take and bake! The day before, we spent the morning at CNT prepping the dough, to the tune of thirty pounds of flour, 30 eggs, and 30 cups of sugar! Thank you to all the volunteers - and people who lent us their stand mixers! - for helping out. We all had a great time on both days! Thank you to Ms Ginny for coordinating the activities with the Y, and to Ms Jill for gathering the supplies and leading us in the dough-making!

High Holiday Food Drive

This year we have two food barrels for the High Holiday Food Drive. Please help us fill them both up! In years past the JF&CS has been very impressed with the amount of food the CNT community brought in, so we want to keep that up! Please click HERE for a full list of

items needed. Please note: Donated items do not need to be kosher, but no pork or shellfish please. If possible, place items in plastic shopping bags. No glass jars, please.
