Choose from a wonderful selection of Judaica items, jewelry, and toys presented by Sisterhood at our pop-up Judaica Shop on Sunday, December 15th, at the synagogue during Sunday school hours. All profits go to support the programs Sisterhood provides for the school, the synagogue, and its own special events.

J oin the women of TBC's Sisterhood for an evening of good company and good cheer at our annual Hanukkah Dinner and Celebration - Sunday, December 15, 6:00 pm, at the home of Wendy Nadel.
Please bring a pot-luck dish to share and a wrapped gift valued at $15-$20 for our gift exchange.

Holiday Toy Drive
Please support Sophie Barenberg's Bat Mitzvah mitzvah project by donating a toy or game to benefit the Yale New Haven Children's Hospital Toy Closet. Click here to read about Sophie's personal connection to this project.
Toys must be new, unopened and not gift wrapped.

TBC Hanukkah + Library Magic

This December, TBC is partnering with our local libraries to spread some Hanukkah magic!  We hope that you'll join us for one or more of our programs. Remember to register with the library (if required) and bring your friends!

December 17 at 4 pm Rabbi Bearman and Director of Lifelong Learning Karin Beitel invite the community to join them at Wilton Library for Dreidel Days, an interactive Hanukkah program where people of all ages will learn, play, and celebrate the Hanukkah season!

Student Cantor Hamstra will be with us for some Friday night Shabbat services this year. Please click HERE to check the schedule if you would like to host her for dinner at your house on one of the Saturday evenings that she is with us.

Social Action Volunteers Needed!  


TBC Social Action Committee.
The TBC Social Action Committee has many local ways for you to help others, from pitching in at a soup kitchen to preparing dinner at an emergency shelter.  New opportunities, dates, and times are posted to the TBC website, so please take a look and see where you can help

Other Community Opportunities. There are also other ways to get involved in our communities. You can serve as a foster family, deliver food to those in need, and/or host a high school child in the ABC program.

Celebrating our Israeli Emissaries

Celebrate the first Shabbat of 2020 Israeli style! Come meet our Israeli emissaries, Noya, Hoshen and Ella and learn about their work at TBC and throughout the Fairfield community.

The evening begins with an Israeli dinner at 6:00 pm (felafel, of course!) and then continues with Shabbat services at 6:30 pm followed by a birthday celebration and Oneg Shabbat with a certified nut-free option at the dessert table. The Oneg Shabbat will include informal round table discussions with Noya, Hoshen and Ella so you can get to know them better.
Congregants and friends of all ages will enjoy this special Shabbat!

It is traditional to light a memorial candle on the eve of the yahrzeit at home and to recite Kaddish when lighting the yahrzeit candle. It is also a custom to make donations in memory of loved ones around the time.
