Our Confirmation Trip to DC for the L'Taken Program

Recently,  Schoke Jewish Family Service reached out to TBC to see if we'd like to help fulfill the Chanukah Wish List of a family from our area.  This program allows local synagogues, organizations, and donors to provide Chanukah presents for a family that would have otherwise been unable afford gifts.  The "Wish List" of one local girl included swimming lessons.  From the Talmud, we learn that we are obligated to teach our children how to swim, and with this in mind, TBC jumped at the chance to fulfill this little girl's wish.  We are proud and happy to partner with others in the Jewish community of Fairfield County to sponsor this young person's lessons.  We wish her years of happy swimming and splashing!

Common Threads

While our Upper Fairfield County Federation is a community of communities, we are also a vast library of stories and a vibrant garden with interconnected roots. This year, with the coordination and leadership of our Federation, many of those communities - congregations, organizations, and others - have joined together to create Common Threads, a year-long project to explore our diverse ancestry and heritage and how it weaves together into our strong and integrated Upper Fairfield County community. More Information and schedule.
