Sign Up Now for Stop Hunger Now - Saturday, October 22
On Saturday, October 22 , TBC will be participating as a congregation in the 6 th annual Stop Hun ger Now packaging event in Wilton. Last year we packaged over 164,000 meals that were sent to Haiti. TBC was well represented by about 90 volunteers.

This is an opportunity for the whole family, from 5-year-olds to grandparents to participate in a meaningful opportunity of Tikun Olam, Repairing the World. TBC's sign-ups are so far only about half of what they were last year, so if you want to participate and get your preferred shift ...

You may also send a check to TBC and note that it is for Stop Hunger Now.
Wi-ACT -- the Wilton Interfaith Action Committee -- has set the goal of packaging over 160,000 meals this year. TBC's goal is to raise $3500 as a Congregation to fund 12,000 meals that will be sent to hungry chi l dren in developing countries. This year each meal costs $0.29, so $1.45 buys 5 meals, $15 buys 52 meals and $100 buys 345 meals.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Don Weber at mdweb27@me.com .
TBC Diaper Collection Project!

The TBC Social Action Committee is seeking donations of diapers and wipes to benefit the Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut and the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Stamford, and Person-to-Person, Norwalk.  For most parents, diapers for babies is a given.  If you are living in poverty, however, they are often a luxury.
