TBC Listening Sessions

This summer, we hope that you will join Rabbi Bearman, Director of Lifelong Learning Karin Beitel, and several board representatives at one of our new Listening Sessions. These events will take place in people's homes and will be casual and conversation focused.

We want to hear what inspires and uplifts you and what you think are the strongest elements of TBC life. We also want to hear what hasn't been working and what you wish you could explore through TBC (especially if it is not something that we are currently offering).

Please help us shape our plans for next year and beyond by joining us at one of the following Listening Sessions!

July 2 at 4:00 pm | August 4 at 10:30 am | August 25 at 3:00 pm

Click HERE to send your RSVP for the Listening Session of your choice to our Office Administrator, Denise Seccurra.

Please be in touch if you have any questions about this new initiative!

Pride Shabbat
Pride Shabbat Service
Friday,  June 28 at 7:30 pm
The Jewish tradition teaches us that we should offer a blessing of gratitude every time we see a rainbow. In this spirit, on Friday, June 28, we will come together for our annual Pride Shabbat where we will celebrate the beautiful rainbow of human experience and honor the movement for LGBTQ equality. Thank you to the anonymous member family sponsoring the flowers and oneg.
Pride Torah Study -  Saturday, June 29 at 9:30 am
Join Rabbi Bearman for this special Torah Study. We will explore LGBTQ themes in our weekly Torah as well as other texts of our movement tracing the journey the movement has taken to embrace, support, and celebrate the LGBTQ community, and discuss where we hope to see more progress in the future.

My sons and I had been doing the most mundane of our holy work: assigning roles to the various clans and determining responsibilities as we prepared to build and move the Mishkan, our traveling sanctuary. Everyone in our tribe was busy, even my son Ithamar had been given a task, and I chuckled as I watched him try to look unafraid as he went about supervising ....

In this Midrashic Monologue, we listen as Boaz reflects on the day he met Ruth and the lives that they have built together.

Boaz's Reflections
Ruth, on this day, we celebrate ten years of our marriage. When I think of all that has happened since I met you, I am overwhelmed by the sense that God has given us a beautiful gift by leading us to one another.

When we met, both of us had been blessed with the love of a spouse, and both of us had felt the devastating pain of losing that partner. As you know, I had walked around for months with heart made heavy by the belief that .....
