Retreat Update
The ChaiVillageLA Retreat has been postponed until
Spring 2020. Thank you to all who showed interest in this exciting retreat.

Your voice is needed to make our retreat meaningful and successful. If you are interested in joining the planning team, please contact Talia at [email protected] .
Community Involvement
Congratulations to ChaiVillageLA members Shelley Hoffman and Jeff Ellis on another successful fundraiser for NAMIWalks Los Angeles. Their long-time leadership roles in organizing these 5K walks help raise awareness of, and support for, those living with mental illness. Thanks to Idelle for organizing voter registration.
Pictured: Shelley and Jeff at the event's ChaiVillageLA voter registration booth (In center: Idelle Davidson, Wendy Yano and Ellen Cantor).
Gary Peskin, Barbara Meltzer, and ChaiVillageLA intern Elli Rao attended the Motion Picture Television Fund's Social Isolation Impact Coalition meeting on Friday, October 4. They shared how ChaiVillageLA is addressing social isolation in older adults through member-led programming and peer-to-peer calls. Laura Trejo, General Manager of the City of LA Department of Aging spoke about LA's Purposeful Aging Initiative , which undertakes projects to make LA a more age-friendly region.
