Selichot Service & Study Session - Saturday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 pm

Selichot is the holiday dedicated to making sure that our hearts, minds, and spirits are ready for the High Holy Days. This year, we will gather at Congregation Shir Shalom ( 46 Peaceable Street, Ridgefield) at  7:30 pm on  Saturday, September 1 for an evening that will include learning, conversation, and a beautiful Selichot service. All are welcome.
Moving the Bimah -  Sunday, September 2 at 10:00 am

Have you ever wondered how the Bimah moves to its new location for the High Holy Days? Well this year you can not only find out but can help us move it. We need a group of people to help move the Bimah on  Sunday, September 2 at 10:00 am. All you need to bring is yourself and be willing to help push a big object.

We will also need volunteers to help us set up the prayer books for the services. This will take place at  11:00 am on  Saturday September 8 and 15 after Torah Study as well as volunteers to help move the Bimah back on  September 23.

Our ancestors carried the Ark for 40 years in a desert. All we need is a few hours of your time in an air conditioned building. Thank you in advance for helping us prepare for the High Holy Days.

Please RSVP to Russ Robins at  ritual@templebnaichaim.org.

TBC Diaper Collection Project!

The TBC Social Action Committee is seeking donations of diapers and wipes to benefit the Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut and the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Stamford, and Person-to-Person, Norwalk.  For most parents, diapers for babies is a given.  If you are living in poverty, however, they are often a luxury.
