We hope that you will be able to celebrate Pesach with your family and friends for First Seder. We will not be holding services that evening at TBC. Yahrzeits will be read the following week, unless you request otherwise. If you need a family to share the holiday with, please contact Rabbi Bearman and she will help you find a family.

Mazel Tov to Rabbi Bearman

We would like to wish Rabbi Bearman a hearty MAZEL TOV on her recent election to the board of the Women's Rabbinic Network, a constituent organization of the Central Conference of American Rabbis.  On  July 1st, Rabbi Bearman will officially begin her term as the WRN's new Communications and Marketing Vice President.  Congratulations!

"Violins of Hope: Strings of the Holocaust" Film at Sherman JCC

"Violins of Hope: Strings of the Holocaust" with a live violin performance by Danbury Symphony violinist Isaac H. Ohring will be shown on Saturday, April 14th at 7:30 pm at the Jewish Community Center in Sherman. CT

Tickets are $10 for Members & Students, $15 Non Members. Please buy your tickets by Tuesday, April 10th. The film, narrated by Academy Award-winner Adrien Brody, is a documentary featuring Israeli violinmaker Amnon Weinstein and his efforts to restore violins recovered from the Holocaust. Some were played by Jewish prisoners in concentration camps; others belonged to the Klezmer musical culture, which was all but destroyed by the Nazis.
Shabbat Family Service with Preneg Friday, April 6 at 6:00 pm

Join us for another fun Shabbat Family Service starting at 6:00 pm with a kid-friendly Preneg (pizza & veggies). At 6:30 pm, song, story and worship will be followed by a birthday celebration and oneg with a certified nut-free option at the dessert table. If you will be attending the preneg, make sure to RSVP.

Interim Cantor Dana Anesi at Shabbat Services !

Join us for Shabbat Services to meet our interim cantor, Dana Anesi. We are delighted to have Cantor Anesi join us. She is currently the Director of Fieldwork at Hebrew Union College in NY and for many years, served as the cantor at a Reform synagogue in Chappaqua, NY. Cantor Anesi will be with us for all of our Spring B'nai Mitzvahs. Here are all of the dates Cantor Anesi will be at TBC:

TBC Diaper Collection Project!

The TBC Social Action Committee is seeking donations of diapers and wipes to benefit the Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut and the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Stamford, and Person-to-Person, Norwalk.  For most parents, diapers for babies is a given.  If you are living in poverty, however, they are often a luxury.

It is traditional to light a memorial candle on the eve of the yahrzeit at home and to recite Kaddish when lighting the yahrzeit candle. It is also a custom to make donations in memory of loved ones around the time of yahrzeit.
