Your generosity will help Danbury residents in need stay warm this winter. The Dorothy Day Hospitality House has been providing meals and shelter to individuals since 1982. DDHH will distribute hats and gloves and mittens to guests who need them to get through the bitter Connecticut winter.

● NEW Warm Fleece or Knit Hats

Have You Ever Wanted To Learn How to Lead a Friday Night Service???

We are in need of several volunteers who would like to work with Cantor Harriet to learn how to lead a Friday night Shabbat Service! Prior experience with Hebrew or service leading is not required!

Families and friends are encouraged to learn and lead together. Practice services with the Cantor are part of the training!! Contact Cantor Harriet for more information.

Genesis 41:1−44:17

Joseph interprets Pharaoh's two dreams and predicts seven years of prosperity followed by seven years of famine. (41:1-32)
Pharaoh places Joseph in charge of food collection and distribution. (41:37-49)
Joseph marries Asenath, and they have two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim. (41:50-52)
When Joseph's brothers come to Egypt to buy food during the famine, Joseph accuses them of spying. He holds Simeon hostage while the rest of the brothers return to Canaan to retrieve Benjamin for him. (42:3-42:38)
The brothers return to Egypt with Benjamin and for more food. Joseph continues the test, this time falsely accusing Benjamin of stealing and declaring that Benjamin must remain his slave. (43:1-44:17) Click here to learn more .

Parkinson's Education Series for Those With Early Onset Parkinson's and

Jewish Senior Services is offering a free educational series for those newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s and their caregivers with a focus on the stages of the disease and how to maintain safe mobility and minimize functional decline. This program is supported by a community grant from the Parkinson’s Foundation. SATURDAYS, JANUARY 15, 22, 29 & FEBRUARY 5 & 12 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM In-person and Zoom attendence options are available. Please arrive 15 minutes early for the first session to fill out a questionnaire.

All classes take place at: Jewish Senior Services, Grasmere Adult Day Program, 4200 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT Park in the back of the building and enter through the Community Services entrance. If you are attending virtually, a Zoom link will be emailed to you prior to the sessions’ start times.

COVID-19 Protocols - Masks Required

TBC now requires anyone entering our building for any reason to wear a mask - regardless of vaccination status. Masks must cover the nose and mouth and remain on while in the building. The only exception to the mask requirement will be for fully vaccinated staff and clergy while in their offices and for clergy (not lay leaders) on the bimah.

We will continue to watch the infection rate closely and will keep you apprised of any changes. We thank you for your cooperation.
