Masks No Longer Needed at TBC For Those Vaccinated!
Based on the Reopening Task Force's recommendations, we are updating TBC's COVID safety policy. Effectively immediately, masks inside the building will be optional. This change is a result of the high vaccination rates of our congregants, the low infection and hospitalization rates in our area and CDC guidelines.
Please note that full vaccination continues to be required to enter the building. Children under 5 who cannot be vaccinated (or anyone who is medically unable to be vaccinated and has provided the required proof) must continue to wear a mask while in the building. We will continue to monitor COVID and adjust our policy as needed.

I want to take a moment to express how grateful & blessed Lizzie and I are to be part of this amazing Kehillah Kedoshah - Sacred Jewish Community. My heart was so full on both Friday, March 11th as TBC welcomed our Interfaith friends from the WEPCO campus for Shabbat & on Sunday, March 13th as our community gathered together in Simcha - Happiness and Celebration for our first larger-scale in-person event since before the pandemic! Watching our Religious School parents and students come together to make the Purim Carnival a reality was more than I could have dreamed and I owe it all to some very special volunteers! We raised a total of $64 for the Religious School in our 50/50 Raffle. A special Thank You to the Sisterhood for the wonderful Mishloach Manot this year, and to Lizzie's Dad, Christopher Jack who provided us with lively and entertaining music using his professional DJ equipment.
A "Yasher Koach - Great Job" goes to the following Religious School students who worked hard to practice for the Purim Spiel, "A Very Frozen Purim" that was part of our Religious School Purim Celebration prior to the Carnival!

Jack and Ella Misita's Mitzvah Project - Pajamas & Books!
Help Ella and Jack Misita with their Mitzvah Project to bring new pajamas and books to children in need! Donations sought for Pajama Program! This organization emphasizes healthy sleep habits as an integral part of children’s health. There will be a bin in the TBC lobby through April 30 where you can place NEW pajamas (in any size), and NEW children’s books. If you’re unable to donate these items, but wish to contribute, you can make a donation using the TBC donation form, earmarked for Jack and Ella Misita’s mitzvah project, and we will be happy to purchase these items on your behalf. The movie 1945, as reviewed by Allen Kopfstein, "has a somber, compelling theme. Two Jews return to a Polish town at the end of WW2 causing the town residents to fear that the Jews will reclaim their confiscated properties and wealth. Outstanding cinematography and acting. A gripping drama".

- God describes the rituals of purification for a woman after childbirth. (12:1-8)

God sets forth the methods for diagnosing and treating a variety of skin diseases, including tzara-at (a leprous affection), as well as those for purifying clothing. (13:1-59) click here
Ancient priests in Jewish life functioned both in a clinical way and in a spiritual capacity as well. In both realms they were there to identify and respond to those infected with skin disease as described in this week's Torah portion, but also provide spiritual care. Whether you celebrate a birth, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, wedding, anniversary or other special event, inscribing the event on the leaves of the Tree of Life will ensure your memories shine brightly at Temple B'nai Chaim for years to come.
It's easy to order - just fill out the Tree of Life order form. Each leaf costs $300 and will be engraved upon receipt of the completed order form and full payment. Your leaf will be placed on the tree within 6-8 weeks after the order is placed. Examples of leaves may be seen here. Contact treeoflife@templebnaichaim.org if you have any questions.
