TBC Social Action Commitment to the Dorothy Day Hospitality House (Danbury)

From Peggy Zamore:

"Ronnie Ross did a fabulous job coordinating the lunch provisioning yesterday (4/4/2024) with a most wonderful crew! Huge THANKS to Ronnie, Laurie Boxer, Carol Wexler, Yvette Carp, Sue Gordon and Henry Tritter. (And welcome to Carol - she joined us for the first time!!)

"Another huge THANKS to Don and Melinda Weber - our chefs du jour - along with Henry and Sue Tritter who, for their first cooking foray, brought veggie chilli and rice. Henry and Sue will hopefully be our chefs/food organizers, for next time.

"It was a VERY BUSY DAY! 165 dinners and 160 lunches were served to 95 guests. Sadly, the numbers in need are increasing - Luckily, we are able to provide the most wonderful food."

The Social Action Coimmittee is always grateful for contributions to support the consistent and high-quality services they provide! If your are so moved, please consider a donation. (Click here for the TBC donation form and select "Tzedakah (Social Action)" for the fund.)

If you'd like to help in person, please contact Peggy and Jane at: socialaction@templebnaichaim.org

It is traditional to light a memorial candle at home on the eve of the yahrzeit. You may also find it meaningful while kindling the yahrzeit candle to offer prayers of remembrance or reflect on your loved one’s life. Many also choose this time to make monetary donations in memory of loved ones

Yahrzeit Memorial Plaques

When remembering loved ones who have passed away, we invite you to commemorate their lives and blessings with a memorial plaque for the TBC wall of remembrance. Ordering information is available here.

A reminder that the Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County schedules a variety of programs that TBC members will find interesting.
