TBC Book Group
April 15th, 7:30 pm
The TBC Book Group will be reading "My German Question" by Peter Gay. A New York Times Book Review Notable Book of the Year, this poignant book tells of the author's youth as an assimilated Jew in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1939. Peter Gay describes his family, the life they led, and the reasons they did not emigrate sooner, and he explores his own ambivalent feelings. ...toward Germany. Click here to register.

Social Action Diaper Drive
April 18, 2021
10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Social Action is hosting a diaper/wipes/tampons/pads collection on April 18, between 10 am and 2 pm. Just drive into the TBC parking lot to drop off your donations. Diapers, wipes, tampons and pads collected will be brought to local organizations to distribute. All sizes are welcome. Larger sizes, 3 and up are generally needed the most. Open packs of diapers will be accepted.

Havdalah Under the Stars
May 1, 2021, 6:30 to 9:30 pm
It's Spring and we invite you to celebrate with us at our May 1st Concert: Jazz Havdalah Under the Stars! Bring your family and friends and join with fellow TBC-ers in our parking lot as we joyfully welcome spring, the return of light, and the ability to gather safely IN PERSON to hear live music! This is a BYOE event – “Bring Your Own Everything”! Please bring chairs or blankets and your own food and beverages. We will provide firepits, a short Havdalah Ritual and plenty of music!
Our Jazz line-up features John Dunkerley on keyboards, Ben Carriel on drums, Danny Patiris on Sax with vocals by Big Band Singer Doug Ferony, Cabaret stylings from TBC congregant Jerry O’Neil, our own Cantor Harriet and other special guests! We would love to add a bass player and other instrumentalists and vocalists from our community, so please don’t be shy! TBC Virtual Art Sale
May 8 - 15, 2021
TBC’s Virtual Art Sale will be held May 8 through May 15. There are amazing works of art that have been donated – including pieces by several of our congregants, including Babette Bloch, Jon Gordon, Richard Lerner and Joni Johns Lerner. We have also had donations by well-known artists, including Saul Chase, Lionel Barrymore, Frederic Remington and Aldo Luongo, as well as several local artists. Watch for more information coming soon.

Tazria - M’tzora
Bearing Seed / A Leper
Leviticus 12:1-15:33
- God describes the rituals of purification for a woman after childbirth. (12:1-8)
- God sets forth the methods for diagnosing and treating a variety of skin diseases, including tzara-at (a leprous affection), as well as those for purifying clothing. (13:1-59)
- Priestly rituals to cure tzara-at when it afflicts humans are described. (14:1-32)
- Rituals to rid dwelling places of tzara-at are presented. (14:33-57)
- The parashah denotes male impurities resulting from a penile discharge or seminal emission. (15:1-18)

The parashah concludes with accounts of female impurities caused by a discharge of blood. (15:19-33). Click here to learn more.

Mazel Tov Card - This card contains a message of congratulations for those celebrating a happy occasion. $54 each, with the donation going to the Operating Fund, Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund, Cantor’s Discretionary Fund, Religious School Fund, Shalom Rav (music) Fund, Sisterhood Fund, Tzedakah (social action) Fund or Youth Fund.
Mi Shebeirach Card - This card contains a message of caring and support for someone struggling with illness or other challenges. $18 each, with the donation going to the Kesher/Caring Fund.

Yahrzeit Memorial Plaques at TBC
During this challenging time, we know that many of us are thinking of loved ones who have passed away. We invite you to commemorate the lives and blessings of your loved ones with a memorial plaque. A special service of dedication for the entire community will be scheduled at TBC when that again becomes possible. Ordering information is available here.
