Tot Shabbat and Family Shabbat Service

5 pm for Tot Shabbat
6:30 pm for Family Service
Please join Cantor Harriet at 5:00 pm for an amazing Tot Shabbat experience! Children up to age 7 or 8 along with their families are invited to welcome Shabbat together with singing, dancing, special guests and even some challah and soup making! Make sure to bring an instrument or shaker and a stuffed friend, and get ready for a fun and participatory 25-30 minutes of music, learning and laughs as we welcome Shabbat together! Then, don’t miss our Family Shabbat Service! Join us at 6:30 pm to welcome Shabbat together with a family friendly service geared toward families and children ages 7-107! Remember to also bring a smile and your favorite dancing shoes! Click here to register for the Family Service.

TBC Book Group
April 15th, 7:30 pm
The TBC Book Group will be reading "My German Question" by Peter Gay. A New York Times Book Review Notable Book of the Year, this poignant book tells of the author's youth as an assimilated Jew in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1939. Peter Gay describes his family, the life they led, and the reasons they did not emigrate sooner, and he explores his own ambivalent feelings. ...toward Germany. Click here to register.

Social Action Diaper Drive
April 18, 2021
10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Social Action is hosting a diaper/wipes/tampons/pads collection on April 18, between 10 am and 2 pm. Just drive into the TBC parking lot to drop off your donations. Diapers, wipes, tampons and pads collected will be brought to local organizations to distribute. All sizes are welcome. Larger sizes, 3 and up are generally needed the most. Open packs of diapers will be accepted.

TBC Virtual Art Sale
May 8 - 15, 2021
TBC’s Virtual Art Sale will be held May 8 through May 15. There are amazing works of art that have been donated – including pieces by several of our congregants, including Babette Bloch, Jon Gordon, Richard Lerner and Joni Johns Lerner. We have also had donations by well-known artists, including Saul Chase, Lionel Barrymore, Frederic Remington and Aldo Luongo, as well as several local artists. Watch for more information coming soon.

The Eighth [Day]
Leviticus 9:1-11:47
- Aaron and his sons follow Moses' instructions and offer sacrifices so that God will forgive the people. (9:1-24)
- Two of Aaron's sons, Nadab and Abihu, offer "alien fire" to God. God punishes these two priests by killing them immediately. (10:1-3)
- God forbids Moses, Aaron, and his surviving sons from mourning but commands the rest of the people to do so. Priests are told not to drink alcohol before entering the sacred Tabernacle and are further instructed about making sacrifices. (10:4-20)

During this challenging time, we know that many of us are thinking of loved ones who have passed away. We invite you to commemorate the lives and blessings of your loved ones with a memorial plaque. A special service of dedication for the entire community will be scheduled at TBC when that again becomes possible. Ordering information is available here.
