Family Shabbat Service

TBC Religious School celebrated Yom Ha’Atzmaut, Israel Independence Day, in Grand Style!

Thank you to all who contributed time and talents to making the Sunday School Yom Ha'Atzmaut so successful: Cantor Harriet, Ellie Gluck, Scott (security guard), Dara Marceau Ed committee chair who rallied the parents to make calls, teachers and Madrichim, Hilary Felton, Leslie Nevas, Jen Rubin, Helen Borshchenko, Moses Alexander, Fran and Andrea Heizler, Susan Farber, Kelly Morron, Iris Busch, Barbara Dobbin, Stephen Davis, and the class parents who sought volunteer workers. We hope families enjoyed hearing about the Israel activities and admiring students’ handiwork.

Book & Toy Drive
in Partnership with DIG

TBC Religious School, in partnership with DIG (Determination, Integrity, Growth), is collecting books & toys both in our lobby and from various other locations over the coming weeks to distribute to the children and families of Bridgeport, CT that are in need. 

To help pick up books & toys from other collection sites, please send an email to Dara Marceau at dara77marc@gmail.com.

Ridgefield Chorale

The Ridgefield Chorale will present “Only All of Us,” a concert celebrating resilience and heroes and the discovery of the strength that lies within us as individuals and as communities. Presented at the Anne S. Richardson Auditorium at Ridgefield High School, and accompanied by the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, this multi-media “choral musical” will take us through a time that challenged not only a few, but all of us. TBC COVID Policy

Masks inside the building are optional, but full vaccination continues to be required to enter the building. Children under 5 who cannot be vaccinated (or anyone who is medically unable to be vaccinated and has provided the required proof) must continue to wear a mask while in the building. We will continue to monitor COVID and adjust our policy as needed.

If you or a family member is ill or in need of care - or if you know of someone in our community who needs help - please contact Cantor Harriet. Our Caring Committee is here to provide assistance - meals, rides to doctors' appointments or shopping.

New Jewish Senior Services Hospice Volunteer Training Dates
Sunday, June 12, 2022, 9:00 am

Chaifetz Family Hospice will be holding a 2-Day Hospice Training for people interested in giving their time and compassion to JSS clients in Fairfield County. Training will be held at Jewish Senior Services, 4200 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT on Sunday June 12th from 9am–5:00pm and Sunday June 26 from 9:00 am-5:00 pm (June 26 session might be via zoom). Training materials and meals will be provided free of charge. If you would like to sign up or to learn more about hospice training, please contact Ellen Ashkins at (203) 365-6417 or by email at eashkins@jseniors.org.
