TBC Film Club - They Came to Stay
August 11, 2022 @ 7:30 pm

We will be meeting again for the film club on August 10 and discussing the film "They Came to Stay" available on Kanopy

In the early 20th century, drawn by the promise of America, more than two million eastern European Jews fled poverty and oppression - gravitating to the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Poor and faced with innumerable confusing choices, they struggled to adapt their Jewish traditions to their new lives.

Hope you can join us. If you have any questions regarding the film club, please contact Ria Miller at riahmiller@hotmail.com

Cantor Harriet & Morah Ellie are looking for a few more teens to join the Madrichim Program next year. Madrichim work with our Religious School teachers in the classroom during Sunday Mornings from 9:30am-11:30am. All hours spent working in the Madrichim Program counts for any required or desired Community Service and all students will receive a formal letter at the end of the year!

Max Nevas Mitzvah Project!
From Max Nevas: A couple of weeks ago I dropped off at the Pitch in for Baseball & Softball (PIFBS) warehouse in Philadelphia the baseball equipment that all of you donated. It was a really great experience.I was also able to raise $385 for PIFBS.

PIFBS does everything they can to make it easy for communities in need to find them. They also work with several different major league baseball teams to help them find communities that need help in their regions.

Thank you to everyone for donating to my Mitzvah Project and helping more kids get what they need to play baseball..
