Tickets are now on sale for the US theatrical release of "GOLDA," directed by Oscar-winning Israeli Filmmaker, Guy Nativ, and starring Helen Mirren as Golda Meir and Liev Schreiber as Henry Kissinger. Our Federation is co-sponsoring a special early screening on August 23rd in Trumbull, featuring a pre-recorded post-film Q&A with Guy Nativ and Helen Mirren.

GOLDA is a ticking-clock thriller set during the tense 19 days of the Yom Kippur War in 1973. Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir (Helen Mirren), faced with the potential of Israel’s complete destruction, must navigate overwhelming odds, a skeptical cabinet, and a complex relationship with US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (Liev Schreiber), with millions of lives in the balance. Her tough leadership and compassion would ultimately decide the fate of her nation and leave her with a controversial legacy around the Get tickets here.

Sustain TBC with Sweet Honey

Send Rosh Hashanah tidings to TBC friends and staff!

As Rosh Hashanah approaches, it is time to send honey and sweet new year greetings to your TBC friends and loved ones. The ordering deadline is September 13. Don't miss out on the opportunity!

As in prior years, TBC members have multiple sponsorship levels for giving opportunities. Each sponsor level sends one jar of local honey to every TBC member family, clergy and staff:

Super Bee Hive - $1,000

Chai Bee Hive - $540

B'nai Bee Hive - $360

Honey Bee Hive - $180

Alternatively you can give honey to particular congregants within TBC, or choose to reciprocate to those who send honey to you. This is a nice way to send a sweet "thank you" to your child's religious school teacher/tutor. You may send individual jars to members, clergy or staff. The first jar of honey to member families, clergy and staff is $12.00 to the first family and each subsequent jar is $8.

Click here to order online. Questions? Email honey@templebnaichaim.org.

This year the Jewish Federation's 2024 Civil Right Journey is from January 20-23. While the trip is currently sold out, please put your name on the waiting list if interested!

Those from TBC who went last year described it as a wonderful and life-changing experience!

Please Share Your Simcha! TBC congregants are invited to share news of their family events and celebrations in Chailites. Please send your information to chailites@templebnaichaim.org.

TBC is Here For You!

If you or a family member is ill or in need of care - or if you know of someone in our community who needs help - please contact Cantor Harriet. Our Caring Committee is here to provide assistance - meals, rides to doctors' appointments or shopping.

It is traditional to light a memorial candle at home on the eve of the yahrzeit. You may also find it meaningful while kindling the yahrzeit candle to offer prayers of remembrance or reflect on your loved one’s life. Many also choose this time to make monetary donations in memory of loved ones

Yahrzeit Memorial Plaques

When remembering loved ones who have passed away, we invite you to commemorate their lives and blessings with a memorial plaque for the TBC wall of remembrance. Ordering information is available here.

A reminder that the Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County schedules a variety of programs that TBC members will find interesting.

Their calendar of upcoming events is available here. Those wishing to receive their weekly mailing list will find the registration form here.
