Happy Monday, Democrats!
Last week, I told you we had just wrapped up our biggest Weekend of Action of the year. This weekend, you topped it. Together, we made nearly 365,000 calls and door knocks and talked with almost 12,000 voters. That’s what happens when Democrats keep showing up.
I spent the weekend alongside some of our most committed organizers, volunteers, and candidates—and I felt that momentum firsthand.
We launched joint canvasses in Broward with Todd Delmay in HD 101 and Michael Ferguson in HD 100, and in St. Lucie County with James Martin in CD 21 and Take Back Local school board candidate Lisa Kessler. At those two events alone, volunteers knocked more than 1,500 doors.
Across Florida, volunteers joined phonebanks and canvasses for Angie Nixon, David Jolly, and our congressional and local candidates. More than a quarter of our volunteers last weekend were taking their very first action with the campaign.
A couple important reminders:
-
TODAY is the last day to register to vote in Florida for the November 3rd election, and we are working hard to remind everyone we know! Make sure your family, friends, and neighbors are registered to vote by texting them using our friend outreach tool below!
- Remind Your Friends to Register to Vote by 11:59 PM EST TODAY!
-
This tool makes it extra easy to remind your friends to register or to check their registration at floridadems.org/vrdeadline.
I left this weekend energized by the commitment I saw across our state. Let’s carry that energy into the week ahead.

Voter Protection
With increasing attempts to limit voting access rights, it is more important now than ever for the Florida Democratic Party's Voter Protection team to have a strong bench of poll watching, hotline, and cure program volunteers.
Poll Watchers: If you're comfortable observing and documenting, keep an eye on the in-person voting process to help ensure it runs fairly and smoothly.
Voter Assistance Hotline Agents: If you're a good listener who likes solving problems, help answer voters' questions on our hotline at 833-868-3352.
Ballot Cure Assistants: If you're detail-oriented and like helping people fix mistakes, help voters correct errors on their vote-by-mail ballots. These are errors that would otherwise keep their vote from being counted.
Whichever role fits you best, we need you. Sign up today to join our Voter Protection Team.
**After signing up, you'll receive further guidance on how to complete the required training (via on-demand video or a live zoom) and select a volunteer shift. If you have any questions, you can contact the team at voterprotection@floridadems.org.
| The Voter Protection team is also tracking and organizing rapid response efforts to address crucial legal issues in this election cycle. Join us on our biweekly Legal Briefings on Wednesdays from 7-8 PM to stay updated. You can register here to join our next session on October 14 covering voter intimidation issues and an Early Vote Know Your Rights presentation. | Wednesday: Spanish-Language Phone Banks | Our Hispanic Action Network is growing across Florida! Join our statewide Wednesday Hispanic Action Network phonebanks from 5PM –7 PM to call Spanish-speaking voters and make sure they’re ready to vote for Democrats on November 3. |

The Florida Democratic Party has launched the Black Voter Action Network Phonebank Campaign, and our goal is to reach voters across the state, share what is at stake in this election, and increase turnout.
