Florida Democrats,

Welcome to another week! Here at HQ we’re looking forward to (hopefully) another Victory Tuesday!

With 3 races on the ballot, we have a chance to fight back and serve Trump a massive loss in his own backyard! Three special elections are happening on March 24, and the outcome will come down to turnout.

  • HD-87 (Palm Beach County)
  • HD-51 (Polk County)
  • SD-14 (Hillsborough County)

Right now, Democrats across Florida are reaching out to voters to make sure they have a plan to vote — and you can be part of it. We’ve put everything you need in one place: Special Election Action Hub.

In Solidarity,

Nikki Fried

Chair, Florida Democratic Party

4/4 - 4/5: Statewide Weekend of Action: Canvassing & Phonebanking

Field Updates

On Tuesday, we’re hosting a virtual Election Day GOTV phonebank from 4–6pm using the Scale to Win dialer to reach Special Election voters while they still have time to get to the polls.

  • No manual dialing — the system connects you when someone answers
  • Your phone number stays private
  • Quick training provided at the start

This is one of the most important windows of the day — when voters are making final decisions and still have time to get in line by 7pm.

Take Action

Join the Florida Democratic Party for these upcoming organizing actions.

No experience necessary—just a willingness to make a difference. We’ll provide the training and support you need.

We need your help making sure Democrats know when and where to vote. Many voters may not realize there’s an election happening, so it’s critical we get the word out to ensure strong turnout in these very important races.

Weekly Recap

This past week, Florida Democrats knocked doors and made calls to reach voters more than 113,000 times — and that doesn’t even include the work our candidates are doing in the field.

We’re growing our voter contact muscle across the state by organizing around special elections, municipal races, Vote-by-Mail re-enrollment, and by consistently showing up in our communities and getting to know our neighbors.

Every one of these conversations is part of something bigger. We’re using every opportunity to build a year-round organizing infrastructure that’s ready to go when it matters most.

📊 Voter Contact Leaderboard

Check out the counties that reached the most voters this week:

To ensure fairness across counties of different sizes, this leaderboard uses a weighted ratio: weekly voter contact attempts divided by each county’s number of Vote-by-Mail targets.

Canvassing & Phonebanking

Direct voter contact is the best tactic we have to energize voters and elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

Find your county’s Regional Phonebank and re-enroll Dems in Vote-by-Mail

Our FDP field team is here to help DECs, clubs, and caucuses build the people-powered infrastructure it takes to reach voters—and win. Introducing the DEC Manual!

Link: DEC Manual (Also found in the Party Affairs Hub)

The Florida Democratic Party has released the 2026 Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) Policy/Procedure Manual & Handbook. This guide is designed to help DEC leaders and members understand their responsibilities, stay compliant, and operate effectively at the county level.

The manual currently covers:

  • What a DEC is and its mandatory activities — from voter registration and GOTV efforts to fundraising and candidate recruitment.
  • Member roles and officer duties — including Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and State Committee Members.
  • Meeting rules — how to call meetings, establish quorum, handle proxies, and structure agendas.
  • Compliance requirements — annual deadlines (membership lists and bylaws by Jan. 31; D&I plan and audit by April 1), ongoing obligations (meeting minutes within 20 days, membership changes within 10 days, quarterly financial filings), and election-year requirements.
  • More sections coming soon!
