BARTELL DECLARES GEORGIA GOV. KEMP'S STATE OF EMERGENCY

ORDER A "HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUE"

Chairman Al Bartell
"A New Commitment In The 21st Century"

ATLANTA --

A public policy statement has just been released by World Human Rights Network Chairman Al Bartell in response to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp's state of emergency order to call up the Georgia National Guard, which is to remain in effect until February 9, 2023.

The following is Chairman Bartell's statement:

“This is no longer a law enforcement issue. It is now a full-scale human rights issue.

"We will not be able to law-enforcement our way out of this issue. We will not be able to Homeland-Security our way out of this issue.

"As Chairman of the World Human Rights Network, I call upon local, state, regional, national, and international leadership to bring a world-class, 21st century human rights model to this unprecedented situational conflict."

Bartell indicated that plans are being explored to hold a press conference to address the "hard-edge deadly force communication" by Gov. Kemp.
