Mrs. Strauss is a former NCAA Head Coach and Division I collegiate athlete.

Hello future athletes and parents! I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mrs. Jennifer Strauss, and I have recently been named the NCAA Coordinator at Kellenberg. With so many students committing to play sports at the next level, we saw the need to create a more seamless collaboration between the Athletic Department and College Placement.

By building a bridge between the two offices, we are able to more effectively guide you through the recruitment process.

What should I be focusing on over the summer?

Over the summer months you should email college coaches! Let them know of your interest. Do not assume that if you are not on their radar, you won’t be recruited. Part of the recruitment process is advocating for yourself and calling attention to yourself. If you don’t have a Twitter account for recruiting– make one! Tweet at coaches, follow coaches, post your stats and grades.

Over the summer, stay in contact with me. If you have questions about recruiting rules- how to develop an email or what schools you should reach out to- never hesitate to reach out. Be advised that emails will be checked daily in the summer. Summer is a busy time for coaches and athletes…let’s make great use of the time!
