A Note from Carol
My campaign journey started in March for the school board. It’s a new single-member district
in Charleston representing voters on James Island, Folly Beach, parts of Johns Island and
downtown Charleston, Kiawah, and Seabrook. Since the very start, I have felt supported with
words of encouragement and an abundance of campaign support from friends, colleagues, and
community organizations. Here are my endorsements.
Now it’s time for you to VOTE! Vote like education matters to you and others.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 8 from 7 am to 7 pm. Most likely you will vote at your
regular voting location. You can always check your ballot and voting information at:

The word art on this page reflects the values and priorities for quality public education. You
can find my priorities and newsletters at: www.caroltempel.com
So why is it really important for you to vote for me as your District 9 school board
representative? Every day I read this quote on my refrigerator to remind me why I work so
hard for the education of ALL students…
Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it. --Marian Wright Edelman
This is how I want to live my life in public service.
PLEASE VOTE CAROL TEMPEL FOR SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT 9.
