Hello, Master Trainers and Class Leaders!
I hope this newsletter finds you and yours well as we embrace the month of August and mark 2025 as two-thirds complete.
As I mentioned in June's newsletter, the Extension Store launched a new eCommerce site on June 6, 2025. Since then, there have been a number of challenges when it comes to making purchases. We have some short-term fixes and updates to share, both with the Extension Store and other PTC-related items.
Purchasing eBook licenses (Class Leaders & Master Trainers)
At this time, you can purchase the eBook through the Extension Store. However, only one license can be purchased at a time. We are actively working for an accommodation or short-term solution for this. As soon as the bulk license purchase option returns, I will reach out again and let you all know this is an option. We're hopeful this will be resolved by the end of the week, but can't make any promises.
Purchasing Class Leader licenses (Master Trainers)
At this time, you can purchase licenses in bulk on the website. However, you need to select the "pick-up in store" option when you checkout and provide payment. If you don't select the pick-up in store option, it will not allow you to checkout. I hope this will also be resolved by the end of the week so you don't have to worry about this long-term, but again, can't make promises. I will reach out to you and let you know when we have a permanent fix in place.
New book and updated materials (Class Leaders & Master Trainers)
- While we do not have a more specific timeline for the availability of books, I'm thrilled to share additional information about the book itself and what you can expect. The new book has been reformatted and is now a workbook. This means you will no longer have to print out handouts for participants every week! Also, I'd like to reiterate that there will be physical books available for purchase as soon as they're available. The current eBook-only option is not a long-term change.
- Because of the reformatting, all materials (scripts, PowerPoints, program templates, etc.) will be updated and available when the workbook is available for purchase. I will create some videos to walk you through the differences. The content itself remains the same, things just look a little different!
Both the book and materials should be available before the end of the year. We continue to overcome challenges and make progress and we are eager to share everything with you.
If you encounter any other challenges with the Extension Store, please feel free to reach out to me and I will continue to advocate on your behalf. You're also welcome to contact the Extension Store directly if challenges persist and you're hoping for an immediate resolution.
I sincerely thank you all for your patience and understanding as we continue to move forward. I know it has been an exceptionally challenging year for many of us, and I hope we can get the above resolved so this is one less challenge for everyone.
