It only takes a few minutes to sign-up and activate your business. If you can manually enter a credit card in your point of sale system, you have the ability to accept the card. Mastercard is the processor, so you receive the money from the card when you settle your credit card transactions each day. There is no charge to participate, you just pay a small processing fee, like you do when you accept a credit / debit card.
