YANKTON HOSTS USA TODAY TRAVEL
WRITER - GARY GARTH

On September 19, the SD Dept of Tourism notified the Yankton CVB that well known USA Today, travel writer Gary Garth, would be visiting Yankton working on a story about Corps of Discovery Trail.

Gary was looking for  river towns/communities that have a uniqueness or slice of history or story to tell but are often overlooked.

These earned media stories are worth their weight in gold, Gary is working on numerous angles and opportunities to promote this story including; USA Today print story, USAT Travel website and several niche magazines.

Gary also promoted his travels via his social media outlets, check out  this post  about his view in downtown Yankton. Thank you to Riverfront Event Center Hotel for helping us welcome Gary to Yankton!

Here is an  example of some of Gary's past work  for reference.
